Anderson Peak Easement
Demolition would be a useless waste of money and scientific culture!

I supervised AP for 17 years and know a great deal about it’s history. Also I have personally pulled Mr. Cluett out of many jams on coast ridge road. Had we not been there he would have been stuck. Most of the land owners were very grateful we were there.
Optically that place is unique. We measured 1/2 arc second seeing conditions. Although there is alot of bad weather, much of the year seeing was very very good. I knew many of the stars in deep space that seemed to be fuzzy had to be more than just stars.
Certiantly some univwersity would be happy to have the opportunity to save the place.
I would be happy to voluinteer time to keep it opened. ie. 1 to 2 days per week for student observations. etc…
